The terrorists who attacked the Abuja-Kaduna bound AK9 train on March, 28, have released an additional seven (7) out of the remaining thirty-four (34) abducted train passengers while leaving twenty-seven (27) in captivity.
The released hostages were reunited with their families on Wednesday in Kaduna State after spending more than one hundred and thirty days in captivity.
Those released include four children and three adults.
It was gathered that Sheikh Ahmad Gumi for the first time since the abduction of the train passengers helped to facilitate the release of these seven persons.
But there is no information as to whether any ransom was paid.
While speaking to Arise News, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi appealed to the terrorists to release those in captivity and accept dialogue.
He also called on the Nigerian government to be proactive in securing the release of others still in captivity.
