‘They Will Vote Me Out’ – Tinubu Speaks on the Influence of Nigerian Youths

President Bola Tinubu has stressed the importance of properly unlocking and channeling the potential of young people across Nigeria and the wider African continent.

Speaking at a panel session on the sidelines of the 13th Africa CEO Forum in Rwanda on Thursday, the Nigerian leader stressed that failing to harness youth potential and prepare young people to seize available opportunities could cost him their votes.

Tinubu described Nigerian youths as dynamic, restless, and not ready to accept any excuses.

He stressed the need for the government to provide an enabling environment for growth, noting that politicians must remain accountable to the people.

In his words, “We have a very dynamic, youthful population, restless and not ready to accept any excuses. I am a politician; if I don’t prepare them for that (opportunities), they will vote me out.”
