Tinubu, Shettima Mourn As NNPCL Boss Kyari Loses 25-year-old Daughter

President Bola Tinubu, on Friday, commiserated with the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari, over the death of his daughter, Fatima.

Tinubu conveyed his condolences in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Kyari’s daughter, Fatima, died at the age of 25 on Friday after a protracted illness.

The statement said, “The President sympathises with Kyari and the rest of the family on the irreparable and painful loss.”

Tinubu prayed for the repose of Fatima’s soul and urged the Kyari family to stay strong during these trying times.

In a similar vein, Vice President Kashim Shettima condoled with the family of Kyari over the loss.

A statement signed by Shettima’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Stanley Nkwocha, revealed that the VP led other mourners at the funeral prayers held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja.

“VP Shettima, who prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Fatima, asked God to grant the family the strength to bear the painful exit of their daughter, who was in her prime,” said Nkwocha.
