Tiwa Savage to Give First Nigerian Performance of This One Is Personal at Terra Kulture
On Friday, September 26, 2025, Tiwa Savage will perform songs from her latest album, This One Is Personal, live in Nigeria for the very first time. The Queen of Afrobeats is set to take the stage at Lagos’ Terra Kulture Arena, with live coverage kicking off on Trace TV (DStv channel 325) at 9 PM.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Apple Music, Savage described the album as her rawest yet: “It’s the most vulnerable I’ve ever been on a record. Every single record resonates with an experience I’ve gone through. It took two years for me to do this record.”
Recorded across Nashville, London, and Lagos, This One Is Personal weaves together themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. Savage emphasised the deliberate curation of her collaborators, noting, “The few features I chose were very intentional, with people who understood the vision and could add to the message without taking away from its intimacy.”
Since its release, the album has drawn praise from critics. The Lagos Review hailed it as “emotionally honest”, calling it “the culmination of years of grind and growth.” Tracks like You4Me, On the Low featuring Skepta, and 10%, inspired by a real-life encounter during recording, have already emerged as fan favourites, deepening the anticipation for their first full live renditions on Nigerian soil.
