The U.N. Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS), managed by the World Food Programme (WFP), ended its fixed-wing operations last week after nearly a decade of supporting relief efforts in Borno and Yobe states.
“In 2024, UNHAS fixed-wing flights carried more than 9,000 passengers. Already this year, 4,500 humanitarian staff have relied on the service to reach affected areas,” U.N. spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric told reporters in New York on Wednesday.

It was said in recent weeks, the party has witnessed several high-profile resignations from the PDP members in Oyo federal constituency, with members citing internal conflicts, imposition, disregard for democratic principles, marginalization, and several others.

President Bola Tinubu made a pointed reference to this positive growth trajectory in non-oil revenue mobilisation yesterday while addressing a delegation of the Buhari Organisation led by Senator Tanko Al-Makura, which a section of the media has reported out of context.
