Arsenal Football of England is on the verge of signing his top midfield target Declan Rice as the England midfielder is due to undergo a medical with the Gunners today Friday,7 July, 2023 ahead of his £105million move from West Ham, Skysports reports.
With this latest development, Arsenal may not meet Southampton’s £50 million asking price for Romeo Lavia.
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his central midfield even further following the departure of Granit Xhaka.
Recall that Xhaka officially left Arsenal to join Bayer Leverkusen in a £21.4million deal on Thursday.
However, according to the reports, Arsenal will switch their focus to signing Lavia once their deal for Rice is complete, but the North London club is looking to sign the 19-year-old for less than Southampton’s £50million valuation.
