TYFQ Public Lecture Commemorating 2026 World Radio Day To Spotlight Radio, Artificial Intelligence In Nigeria Holds Friday

The Yemi Farounbi Colloquium (TYFQ) announces its 2nd Public Lecture in commemoration of the United Nations World Radio Day 2026, with the theme “Radio and Artificial Intelligence.” The event will feature a keynote address, a distinguished line-up of guests, and a panel discussion on the role of radio in Nigeria’s electoral and democratic development.

Special Guest of Honor is Chief (Barr.) Akeem Agbaje, Former Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ibadan Chapter and Distinguished Guest of Honor is Alh. (Dr.) Oriyomi Hamzat, Chairman/CEO, Agidigbo 88.7 FM
Panelists are Chief Dr. Adebisi Adesola MNI; Former Secretary to the Oyo State Government; Deacon Owolabi Oladejo; South West Zonal Chairman, Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON).
TYFQ’s 2nd Public Lecture aims to explore the evolving landscape of radio in the era of artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on Nigeria’s democratic processes, electoral integrity, and public trust.
The keynote will examine the nexus of broadcasting, election administration, and democratic development in Nigeria, drawing on international best practices and technological innovations to inform its discussion.
