
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been given a favorable draw in the first round of the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side head Group B along with Tunisia, Kenya and Morocco.
The seven-time African champions will play their opening match on April 28 against Tunisia.
Interestingly, the Flying Eagles beat Tunisia to finish third at the 2023 U20 AFCON also staged in Egypt.
Hosts Egypt head Group A, which has South Africa, Sierra Leone, Zambia and Tanzania.
Defending champions Senegal are pitched in Group C against Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo and Ghana.
The opening match will be Egypt up against South Africa on April 27.
