The US-based Friedkin Group have completed the takeover of Everton, the Premier League club announced Thursday.
Everton said the club had been acquired by Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited, an entity within the Friedkin Group.
Everton have now become the 10th English top-flight outfit under majority American ownership, with the Premier League saying the Friedkin Group had purchased a 98.8 percent stake in the Liverpool club.
In an official statement, incoming executive chairman Marc Watts said: “Today marks a momentous and proud occasion for The Friedkin Group as we become custodians of this iconic football club.
