Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has debunked the rumour of his alleged resignation as the Vice President of the country.
Osinbajo made this known in tweet on Twitter handle,@ProfOsinbajo. He described the rumour as fake news.
Professor Osinbajo said, “Misleading/FAKE news is on the rise especially in this season when Nigerians will make a choice about who will govern them for the next four years. I have not resigned! I remain committed to the service of the Nigerian people under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.”

President Muhammadu Buhari’s New Media aide, Bashir Ahmed, debunked same rumour on his Twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad.
He said Professor Osinbajo remains committed to serving the Nigerian populace.
On his Twitter handle, Ahmad said, “FAKE NEWS ALERT: Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has NOT resigned, he remains committed to the service of the Nigerian people under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.”
