She explained that her ministry, in February 2012, conducted an assessment of about 800 websites of federal government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), and the results indicated that half of the sites are not effective. She urged Phillips Consulting to extend the Web-Jurist rating to the public sector.
Mr. Foluso Phillips, in a chat with the media, noted that “the primary objective of the ratings is to evaluate the effectiveness of websites based on customers’ expectations of value and focusing on the finance, insurance, and telecommunications sectors.
Since its maiden edition in 2001, the Web-Jurist has lived up to its expectations by successfully establishing a barometer for rating banks and non-bank financial institutions’ websites. Some of the winners of version 9.0 held last year included UBA for best aesthetics, Zenith Bank for best technical aspects and best customer experience, Access Bank for best site content, and Oceanic Bank for best financial services. These winning organisations will surely be looking forward to version 11 of the Web-Jurist event which will take place next year.
