Why Peter Obi Faces Constant Attacks – Tanko

The National Coordinator for the Obidients Movement, Yunusa Tanko, stated that propagandists thoroughly searched for negative information regarding Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, but were unsuccessful.

Tanko, while responding to questions in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television on Wednesday, said Peter Obi is the most highly attacked individual in Nigerian politics.

Giving a reason for the statement, Tanko said Peter Obi is changing the narrative in Nigerian politics from an old order to a new order.

He further challenged every presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2027 elections to present themselves for scrutiny as Peter Obi has done.

He said, “When you look at the narrative of individuals being attacked, Peter Obi is one of the most highly attacked individuals in Nigerian politics as of today.

“And not because, because he is Peter Obi. No, it’s because of what he’s bringing to the table. He’s changing the narrative from an old order to a new order.

“I want to challenge any Nigerian candidate that can present himself for scrutiny of this nature. None of them can face the scrutiny of the security.

“That’s why up till now, they’ve looked everywhere to find any negative thing about him. They couldn’t find it.

“And this man, Peter Obi, hates incompetence, and this is what we are not used to in Nigeria. I’m giving you this story so that you can understand the level of lies and propaganda that will not stick on him.

“Also, I just wanted to say my condolences to Nigerians, not because they are dead, but at this rate at which the level of taxation is taking a negative effect on their lives.

“And these are the people that this government has sworn by the Quran, in this case, to protect their lives and make their lives comfortable.”
