An Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court has ordered the remand of 33-year-old Olajumoke Olalere at Agodi Correctional Facility, Ibadan, for allegedly stabbing her husband to death.
Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi, citing a lack of jurisdiction, did not take Olalere’s plea and ordered her remand pending advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The case was adjourned to 5th of March, 2025, for mention.
According to Prosecutor Cpl. Akeem Akinloye, Olalere is accused of stabbing her 39-year-old husband, Oluwasegun Tinubu, on October 30 during an argument at their home in Iyana-Agbala, Ibadan.
The charge is punishable under the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
