An unknown number of bandits at about 12:00 a.m on Tuesday invaded Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, and kidnapped the Branch Manager of Taj Bank, Gusau branch, Mallam Mansur Kaura at his residence.
According to a post on the verified page of Zagazola, a Security Analyst, Counter Insurgency Expert reports that the bandits stormed the banker’s residence at about 12:30 am and kidnapped him.
It was gathered that the terrorists came with sophisticated weapons and shot sporadically to scare residents before proceeding to the residence of the manager to abduct him.
It also gathered that the bandits terrorised some areas like Mareri, Damba, Tsauni, and Samaru within the state capital before their escape, Daily Post reports.
There’s no official statement from any security authorities over the latest bandits’ attack yet.
