COVID-19: Nigeria Reports 65 New Cases 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday, February 02, 2022, announced sixty-five (65) confirmed new cases of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 in the country.

No death was reported on Wednesday. 

Nigeria has also confirmed a new variant of COVID-19 called Omicron.

The country is battling the fourth wave of the virus.

“Today’s report includes:

▪️2 confirmed cases reported from Niger State for 31st January

▪️0 cases reported from Nasarawa, Sokoto and Zamfara States,” NCDC said.

As of Wednesday, February 02,  2022, there are 20,593 active cases in Nigeria.
