Falana Writes IGP Wants OAU Murdered Student, Adegoke’s Case Transfer To Osun State

Lagos based Human Rights Lawyer, Mr. Femi Falan SAN, who is handling the case of the murdered Obafemi Awolowo University MBA student, Timothy Adegoke’s case has written to the Inspector General of Police requesting for the case to be transferred to Osun State where the crime was committed.

The trial of Ramon  Adedoyin and his co-accused  in the murder of Timothy Adegoke would now take place in Osun State where the offence was committed.

The case has been discontinued at an Abuja High Court ostensibly following the letter written to the IGP by human rights Activist, Femi Falana who is representing the interest of the family in the trial.

Falana had asked the IGP to transfer the case to Osun State.

According to Falana,”All the aforesaid criminal offences were said to have been committed at Ile-Ife you will agree with us that the suspects ought to have been charged before a court of competent jurisdiction in Osun state.

Consequently, we are compelled to request you to use your good offices to ensure that the case file is handed over to the Attorney-General of Osun State to enable him to study the same with a view to filing relevant charges against the suspects at the High Court of Osun State.”

So Adedoyin and company will have their day in court in Osun State where the heinous crime was committed.

Late Timothy was killed at the Hilton and Resort hotels in November 2021 in the hotel room buried in a shallow grave in Ile-Ife.
